1. If this is a double-locking trem (i.e. you have a locking nut), make sure the guitar is tuned and the nut is locked. Open the trem spring cavity on the rear of the guitar by removing the cover plate screws.

2. Place a piece of masking tape across the tremolo cavity on the guitar marking where the front edge of the claw is currently set. Remove all the springs from the tremolo and original claw. Remove the two mounting screws that mount the old trem claw to the guitar body and un-solder or cut the grounding wire from the old trem claw.

3. Using the original wood screws that came with your guitar, install the Tremol-No® Claw/Shaft assembly. Screw the Claw in until you reach your tape mark. The Claw piece should be able to move a little bit at this point. (Don't forget to remove the tape.) Re-install the springs & setup the guitar as desired.

4. Loosen the thumbscrews on the Deep-C and the Receiver/Tailpiece section. Angle the Tremol-No Shaft upwards and slide the Deep-C onto the Shaft, close to the Claw and lock it out of the way. Then slide the Receiver/Tailpiece section onto the Shaft. Adjust it rearward until the Tailpiece reaches the trem block on the tremolo
-Tip: After the guitar is setup with the new claw- but bbefore the Receiver is installed- lock the (2) set screws on top of the claw with a 2mm allen wrench. Then 'unlock' the set screws 1/2 to 1/4 turn. This will allo you to adjust the claw screws during alignment without having the Tremol-No claw affect your tuning/setup.

5a- Clamp Type. With a 1.5mm allen wrench, loosen the clamping screw on the Tailpiece until you can fit the clamp onto the tremolo block. Tighen the clamping screw at the front of the Tailpiece. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! You only need to do this "snug". Any harder than that, and you risk damaging the tremolo or the Tailpiece.
5b- Pin Type. With a 1.5mm allen wrench, loosen the clamping screw on the Tailpiece until you can fit the Pin into the #4 spring hole in the tremolo block. Tighten the clamping screw at the front of the Tailpiece. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN! You only need to do this "snug". Any harder than that, and you risk damaging the tremolo or the Tailpiece.

The Spacer Pack is to adjust the height of the Receiver/Tailpiece for clearance above the bottom of the tremolo cavity. 1mm and 2mm spacers are provided. They should be placed between the top of the tremolo block and the underside of the clamp of the Tailpiece, or onto the Pin.
-Tip: Place the Reciever/Tailpiece onto the tremolo block, but don't tighten it on yet. Dive your tremolo unit. Check the distance the tailpiece raised up off the tremolo block. This will show you approximately which size spacer to use.

6. Alignment between the claw/shaft and the receiver/tailpiece is crucial with the Tremol-No®. Adjust the claw screws very slightly until you have zero binding with the unit, and can't 'feel' the Tremol-No® when you use your tremolo. Remember that when turning those claw screws, a little goes a long way. Tiny turns can make the difference between 'feels alright' and 'perfect'.

7. Once proper tension is set via springs and claw distance, and the guitar has been tuned to it's desired tuning, lock the (2) set screws on the top of the Tremol-No® claw. These are very small screws, so don't crank down on them too hard.

8. Using the provided 3mm screw, attach your grounding wire to the face of the Tremol-No® claw.

Now you are ready to use your Tremol-No®!
